Experienced Contractors to “Deep Dive” into Advanced Phase of Federal Contracting Opportunities at CelebrAsian 2018

Federal government agencies, who are among the highest volume buyers of products and services from small and minority businesses – with about 25% of the $500 Billion spent annually by federal agencies – will show experienced contractors how to “deep dive” into the advanced phase of federal contracting at the 2018 CelebrAsian Procurement & Business Conference, which runs from May 29 to June 1 at the Bethesda North Marriot Hotel & Conference Center in Bethesda, Maryland. It is the national flagship event of the USPAACC (US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation).

Experienced contractors will have the opportunity to learn and ask questions through a dynamic town hall-style discussion on May 30 (Tuesday), 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm. The panel will be led by Kevin Boshears, Director, OSDBU, U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and moderated by Darlene Bullock, Deputy Director, OSDBU, DHS. Topics to be covered include the mentor-protégé program, limitations on subcontracting, category management, and more advanced subject matter.

The Federal government purchases nearly everything – from dog food to furniture, marketing to construction, office supplies to technology, staffing to logistics, and so much more, in order to run the government nationwide and around the world.

PepsiCo Chairman & CEO Indra K. Nooyi is Conference Chair, and she will hold a fireside chat to share her journey from India to Chairman & CEO of PepsiCo, #44 on the Fortune 500 list.  She is also the #2 “Most Powerful Woman in Business,” according to Fortune magazine.  PepsiCo has a 19-year uninterrupted commitment to and support of USPAACC’s work, which has spurred economic growth and professional advancement of Pan Asian Americans and businesses nationwide.

Strong support from the financial industry – Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, and Wells Fargo – as well as automotive giant Nissan – shows the value placed on USPAACC and the ROI they realize from their partnership.

Co-chairing the Conference are established Pan Asian American businesses Ampcus, Indotronix Avani, and Pyramid Consulting, who appreciate what USPAACC does in speaking for Pan Asian American businesses and opening doors to the right people, at the right place, at the right time.

As the country’s largest and most established B2B conference convened by Pan Asian Americans, CelebrAsian is the nation’s premier venue for procurement and other business opportunities, innovation, and job creation for the more than 2 million Pan Asian American-owned businesses nationwide. Their annual revenue surpasses $700 billion and continues to grow.
