Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why Certify?

USPAACC Certification verifies that your business is legitimate, qualified, and accurately represented. It gives corporations, government agencies, and other partners greater confidence that your company is who it says it is and is prepared to pursue contracting and procurement opportunities. Beyond verification, certification connects your business to an organization with deep knowledge of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, and Indo-Pacific business communities and market trends. This helps demonstrate your company’s cultural competency, market awareness, and ability to build meaningful relationships across diverse business environments. For more than two decades, USPAACC has served as a strong link between Fortune companies, government buyers, Asian American businesses, and other small and mid-sized businesses. Through long-standing relationships with corporate partners and federal, state, and local government agencies, USPAACC has a proven track record of facilitating successful and viable business connections. USPAACC Certification can strengthen your credibility, increase your visibility, and expand your access to procurement opportunities, corporate and government buyers, business development resources, and a nationwide network of suppliers, partners, and decision-makers.

  • Who can apply for the USPAACC Membership?

The certified membership is open to a business that is at least 51% owned, controlled, and operated by Asian American(s) and/or other Americans.

  • I am a legal permanent resident (LPR). Can I also apply for the USPAACC Certification?

Yes. USPAACC Certification is open to both U.S. Citizens and legal permanent residents (LPR). This inclusive process opens the doors to permanent residents who pay taxes, whose children have served in the U.S. military, and who contribute to the U.S. economy.

  • How much does the USPAACC membership cost?

USPAACC Certified Membership costs for a fee range of $300 - $900 USD. The fee structure for Certified Membership is tiered based on businesses’ annual revenue. USPAAACC Non-Certified Membership costs $250 USD for the business of all sizes.

  • Do I have to renew the membership every year? If so, how?

Yes. The USPAACC membership is on annual basis. USPAACC will notify you about the membership renewal one month prior to the expiration date.

  • How long does each membership process take?

For the Certified Membership, it will normally take one to three months. Non-Certified Membership is effective soon after you complete membership form and pay for annual membership fee.

  • Why does the Certified Membership process take long?

The certification process normally takes one to three months. The process consists of two main parts: a document review and a site visit. USPAACC Certification Committee will thoroughly review and verify submitted documents according to criteria. Upon the completion of the document review, the site visit will be conducted. The process will be shortened if documents are well prepared since the delay is often due to incomplete documents.
