USPAACC Awards College Scholarships to Nine High School Seniors out of 1,500 Applications

Washington, D.C. – June 2025 –The US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation (USPAACC) has awarded nine college scholarships to high school seniors across the country. These young scholars have demonstrated academic excellence, community involvement, and financial need. They were announced at the annual CelebrASIAN Business Leadership & College Scholarship Awards Luncheon, held during USPAACC’s 40th Anniversary Ruby Jubilee at the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland, June 3-5, 2025.

The luncheon brought together business leaders, corporate executives, scholarship sponsors, and community advocates to celebrate the achievements of the rising stars and reaffirm the vital role education plays in building the next generation of leaders. This year, USPAACC is also proud to welcome back two shining success stories of its 36-year College Scholarship program: State of Illinois Legislator Hoan Huynh and State of New York Community Health Leader Hewett Chiu, Co-chairs of the USPAACC Scholarship Alumni Committee. Both shared their inspiring personal stories of how USPAACC’s scholarship in 2007 and 2008 helped propel them into leadership roles today.

“The 2025 scholars’ hard work has opened a new door through which they are walking with courage, curiosity, and confidence. The future is ready for them to build from dream to reality,” Susan Au Allen, USPAACC National President & CEO.

For over three decades, USPAACC has been fueling these dreams—with 100% of scholarship funds directly supporting students. To date, the organization has awarded over $2 million in scholarships. The college scholarship awards range from $3,000 to $10,000 and are awarded yearly to high school seniors nationwide for their post-secondary education to help offset ever-rising college expenses. Since the launch of the USPAACC College Scholarship Program in 1989, USPAACC has provided over 430 students with scholarships. Many USPAACC scholars were the first in their family to attend college or university, have achieved successful careers, built large enterprises, created jobs and inventions across disciplines, and shaped national, state and local economic, political, and social policies as elected officials.

It seems like it was just yesterday when they walked the stage similar to this to accept their scholarship from USPAACC and in partnership with corporate and Asian American business sponsors.
