ByBlack x USPAACC: Why It Matters and What You Should Know

Recently I signed the ByBlack x USPAACC Fast Track partnership with U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. (USBC) President Ron Busby Sr. This strategic partnership aims to increase the benefits of minority supplier certifications and represents a significant step forward in advancing economic opportunities and empowerment for diverse businesses across the United States.

ByBlack x USPAACC Fast Track establishes two mechanisms of coordination between USPAACC and USBC that will benefit our respective members as well as our corporate and government partners.

  1. Recognition and acceptance of similar data points on Minority Business Certification applications. This will reduce the certification application time, effort, and expense incurred by member applicants and establish uniform certification standards for corporations and government agencies who depend on the integrity of the certification process in the bidding and awarding of contracts.
  2. Reciprocal support and attendance at national conferences, award ceremonies, and public forums. Members, corporations, and government agencies can now expect to find USBC representatives at USPAACC events and vice versa. This will allow for greater efficiency in finding certified minority business partners and the added value of shared ideas and best practices from our organizations and communities.

With open arms, we invite the USBC community to join us at our CelebrASIAN Business + Procurement Conference on May 29-31, 2024, in Alpharetta (Metro Atlanta), GA, and we encourage our members to join USBC events in their area. We must put to rest the tired and false trope of animosity between black and Asian American communities. As entrepreneurs, we are not in competition with other minority communities. We are in competition with everyone. USPAACC and USBC are committed to promoting healthy competition by ensuring everyone has equal access to free and fair markets. Please join us at CelebrASIAN to learn more about the ByBlack x USPAACC partnership.

Together, we’re stronger!
