Maitjian founded CMIT Solutions Silicon Valley with her husband/business partner Todd Welke specializing in IT infrastructure, Cyber Security, IT Consulting & CIO/CISO. They have been successfully servicing companies in Silicon Valley Bay Area for 15 years. Being in such a competitive business, they are very proud of their high client retention rate, and contributing that to her dedicated and long-term employees.
Maitjian Welke came to US to attend college with a student visa from Indonesia. She received her degree in Computer Science from University of Texas in Austin, and she was the first from her family to go to college. Maitjian Welke has extensive IT & Software Engineering experience of over 25 years working in big tech corporations including IBM, SUN, CISCO, VMWare and GOOD Technology. As a Software Engineering leader, she grew and led large engineering teams in US and globally in places like Bangalore/Chennai/India, Beijing/China, Dublin/ Ireland, Prague/Czech, and London/England. Her technology legacy was being part of the SUN Microsystems engineering team that introduced the Java platform to the world.
Maitjian has served on the Board of Industry Council for Small Business Development as CIO since 2014. As an active VAR Channel Partner for fortune 500 computer manufacturers, she has been recognized in the Women of the Channel by CRN Magazine every year since 2015 for her leadership and contribution to the IT industry. Maitjian is a Certified Cyber Practitioner by Cyber-AB/DoD to help contractors in defense industry with cybersecurity implementation for the new 2025 mandate of Cyber Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance. Maitjian Welke had been invited to be on the Cyber Security Panelists for a number of Cyber Security Summits and Expos in San Jose, Fresno and Los Angeles and provided a number of Cyber Security webinars for professionals in Silicon Valley. In 2021, she was invited to develop the Cybersecurity course and has thought at University of California of St. Cruz extension, and guest lecturer at San Jose State University. Maitjian has sat on the Board of three non-profits in the last 5-10 years including USPAACC WEST, Industry Council for Small Business Development and EAC of Alameda.
