Sandra Medina is a Sr. Manager for Indirect Procurement at Southern California Edison (SCE). She joined SCE in 2016 and has over 18 years of professional sourcing, contract management, and leadership experience. She has held various supply chain roles, which include, Contracts Administration Manager of the Los Angeles Unified School District overseeing a staff of 48 team members. At LAUSD, she has overseen various spend categories including IT, Facilities, Transportation among many others. Sandra also served as the LAUSD lead for SAP P-Card solution, SAP MM-Contracts and SAP SRM-Contracts; analyzed, designed and tested new implementations to SAP modules within LAUSD’s Business Services Division. Sandra holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from CSUN, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Cal Poly Pomona, and several post-graduate certificates in sourcing best practices, negotiations, and contract administration from George Washington University, UCLA Extension, and USC.
- Michael Herrera, Program Manager, Supplier Diversity and Development, Southern California Edison (SCE)
Michael Herrera is the Program Manager for the Supplier Diversity and Development department at Southern California Edison (SCE). He is responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s compliance with applicable rules, regulations and public laws related to small and diverse business procurement. This includes managing strategies, programs and goals that facilitate the ongoing inclusion and growth of small and diverse business enterprises.
Prior to his current role, Michael was a Category Management Advisor for Supply Management at Southern California Gas Company and San Diego Gas & Electric. Over his professional career, he has led large cross-functional project teams, managed multi-million dollar budgets, negotiated large settlements agreements, led the execution of strategic sourcing efforts…in addition to other contract management activities and also worked for a small Woman-Owned General Contractor out of Orange County, CA.
